Summer is almost here and we're gearing up for some fun in the sun! Are you?
With summer comes many fun things to do locally, and we wanted to share three hot Central Florida events this June that you should add to your summer bucket list.
137th Silver Spurs Rodeo
Yes, you read that right. The 136th Silver Spurs Rodeo took place back in February, but June 10th through the 12th presents another chance for you to watch your favorite bull and bronc riding, steer wrestling and barrel racing from some of the country's best cowboys and top livestock. This is the largest sanctioned rodeo east of the Mississippi and is hosted at the indoor Silver Spurs Arena! What's even better about it this time around? The PRCA Wrangler Champions Challenge will take place in the midst of it all in addition to the second annual School's Out Blowout event! Find out more here.
Summer Nights at Sea World
Like we mentioned above, summer is almost here and the summer-themed events are popping up all over. As the sun goes down every night in June and August, the fun heats up at Sea World Orlando. Summer Nights gives families and friends the chance to stay in the park for extended hours to enjoy more fun and laughs. There are also nightly festivities such as a high-energy Shamu show, awe-inspiring celebrations and late-night coaster rides. This year they are also calling it the "Summer of Mako" in honor of the new ride opening this month.
Baseball Youth Majors
Coming to Kissimmee in late June is the nation's best week-long, youth baseball event. Baseball Youth Majors will conduct tournaments for kids ages 8-14 at the Osceola County Softball Complex. Each team will get six to nine games across the week, with added events such as a skills competition and a home run derby. The week wraps up with an All Star game featuring the most outstanding players of the tournament.
