School’s out and it’s time to celebrate with your family! We've got the details on these can't-miss, family friendly events in Central Florida. There's lots to choose from this summer and tons to keep you and your family busy. Celebrate the end of the school year with one of Kissimmee’s longest traditions at the Silver Spurs Rodeo taking place on the first week of June. Kids who love the arts will have a great time at one of Osceola Arts summer camps. End the month cheering on your favorite mascot at this year’s Mascot Games at Amway Center.

139th Silver Spurs Rodeo
Friday, June 2nd and Saturday, June 3rd
5:30pm-10:30pm
Osceola Heritage Park, Kissimmee
Take part in a long-time Kissimmee tradition at the 139th Silver Spurs Rodeo! The best cowboys and cowgirls from around the state will come to Kissimmee’s Osceola Heritage Park and perform in traditional rodeo events including bull riding, bareback bronc riding, steer wrestling and barrel racing. Active and retired military will enjoy free admission with their military ID. Osceola County teachers and school district employees receive $5 off admission with a district ID.
Come early at 5:30pm for School’s Out Blowout, a free event before the rodeo that will feature fun activities for the kids including bounce houses, face painting, and live music. Then stay for the rodeo at 7:30pm!

Summer Camp at Osceola Arts

Osceola Arts, Kissimmee
Keep the kids busy this summer with one of Osceola Arts' summer camps! Starting June 5th, Osceola Arts will be hosting six different summer camps that focus on visual art, musical theater and music. Campers will create visual art with paint and mixed media, perform Broadway hits or master a stringed instrument. If you have a talented young musician or artist in your family, they’ll love learning at Osceola Arts' summer camps.

Mascot Games
Friday, June 23rd at 12:30pm and Saturday, June 24th at 2:00pm
Amway Center, Orlando
It’s time to watch your favorite mascots compete at the Mascot Games, June 23rd and 24th at the Amway Center in Orlando. Mascots from the NBA, MLB, NFL and NCAA will compete in gladiator-themed games where a new mascot will be named champion. Show some local love and cheer on University of Florida’s Albert and Alberta Gator, University of Central Florida’s Knightro and the one and only, Orlando Magic’s Stuff the Magic Dragon.
All proceeds from this event benefit New Hope for Kids, a Central Florida organization that helps grieving children cope with loss in their families, as well as grants wishes for terminally ill children in Central Florida.
