What's in a Title? We Have Specialities to Meet Your Needs

Written by Tim Weisheyer | Dec 29, 2015 5:10:14 PM

We all know when we have a medical need, it is important we select and work with the right professional to properly address that need. Doctors specialize in different fields – we wouldn't go to a cardiologist to help solve a problem we are having with allergies; we’d go to an allergist, of course.

Similarly, Realtors® have special certifications and designations, too.

At Dream Builders Realty, we have a team of highly qualified Realtors® with a wide range of certifications and designations. This means that whatever you may be looking for when it comes to buying or selling a home, we have a specialist that can help you. Interested in learning a little more about our specialities and our numerous certifications and designations? Read on...

ABR®, Accredited Buyer Representative

The Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR®) designation is the benchmark of excellence in buyer representation. This coveted designation is awarded to real estate practitioners by the Real Estate Buyer’s Agent Council (“REBAC”) of the National Association of REALTORS® who meet the specified educational and practical experience criteria. Accredited Buyer Representatives are real estate professionals focused on all aspects of buyer representation and have the training necessary to meet the needs and desires of buyers in today’s market. Less than 3% of Realtors® nationwide have earned this valuable designation and the right to be identified as an Accredited Buyer Representative.

SFR®, Short Sale and Foreclosure Resource

Realtors® with the SFR certification can be a trusted resource in navigating the complexities of short sales and foreclosures. As the market continues to adjust and the rules are adapted, working with a SFR is a valuable part of being able to see your transaction through. A SFR Certified Realtor® has completed training specific to these types of transactions and understands what it takes to successfully help buyers and sellers accomplish their goals.

CDPE®, Certified Distressed Property Expert

A Certified Distressed Property Expert® (CDPE) has a thorough understanding of complex issues and knowledge of foreclosure avoidance options available to homeowners. CDPEs can provide solutions, specifically short sales, for homeowners facing market hardships.

Speaking with a well-informed, licensed real estate professional is the best course of action for a homeowner in distress. Through comprehensive training and experience, CDPEs have the tools to help homeowners find the best solutions for their unique situations and to avoid foreclosure through the efficient execution of a short sale.

RSPS®, Resort and Second Home Specialist

RSPS is recognized as an official NAR Certification, and allows buyers and sellers to have confidence in the ability of a Realtor® who specializes in buying, selling or management of properties for investment, development, retirement, or second homes in a resort, recreational and/or vacation destination, to assist them with their search.

CRP®, Certified Real Estate Professional

A Certified Real Estate Professional (CRP®) is a Realtor® that has completed extensive training in all aspects of real estate sales, marketing and negotiation. Adapted from the National Association of Realtors® Success Series, this additional training sets Realtors® apart as true professionals that have gone above and beyond to ensure they are properly trained to meet the needs of their customers and clients.

SRES®, Seniors Real Estate Specialist

The SRES® Council awards the SRES® Designation to those members who have successfully completed its education program. By earning the SRES® designation, Realtors® demonstrate necessary knowledge and expertise to counsel customers ages 50+ through major financial and lifestyle transitions involved in relocating, refinancing, or selling their family home. They have received special training, get regular updates, and are prepared to offer the options and information needed in making life-changing decisions.

GRI®, Graduate, Realtor® Institute

The GRI symbol is the mark of a real estate professional who has made the commitment to provide a high level of professional services by securing a strong educational foundation. Realtors® with the GRI designation are highly trained in many areas of real estate to better serve and protect their customers. In today’s competitive business environment, it often takes more than just motivation and initiative to succeed. Earning the Graduate, Realtor® Institute (GRI) designation is a testament to buyers and sellers; the recipient is a Realtor® who has gained in-depth knowledge on technical subjects as well as the fundamentals of real estate.

e-PRO®, Certified Internet Professional

An e-PRO is a Realtor® who has successfully completed the e-PRO training program for real estate professionals. Endorsed by the National Association of Realtors®, the e-PRO course teaches professionals the nuts and bolts of working with real estate online: Websites, email, social media, online tools, and most of all, what today’s consumer really wants. What does all this mean to you? There are several benefits of working with a certified Internet professional:

  • Answers emails and/or texts promptly and professionally.
  • Respects your online privacy.
  • Offers home listings and other cutting-edge internet tools to help you find or market your home.

GCREP-GL, Green Certified Real Estate Professional – Green Leadership

The Green Certified Real Estate Professional is available for real estate practitioners who can successfully seek out, understand and market properties with green features. It applies to either residential, commercial, or property management. Green Leadership gives designees the tools to become a community leader and resource in sustainable issues.

AHWD®, At Home With Diversity Certified

The NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® (NAR) is a proud inheritor of America’s long experience with ethnic diversity. Realtors® who represent or reach out to diverse constituencies have created more opportunities for themselves and their firms, brought new perspectives to their state and local associations, and demonstrated the positive role that Realtors® can play in communities.

Today’s real estate markets are changing rapidly, and to prosper, Realtors® continue to need new skills for handling transactions that involve minority buyers or sellers.
