The Top 5 Reasons to Buy a House in Stevens Plantation in 2016

Central Florida has a lot to offer when it comes to finding just the right place to call home.

We've narrowed down our search to a few of our favorite communities and neighborhoods, and we've shared about many of them right here on this blog over the last few years. This year? We think Stevens Plantation in St. Cloud, Florida is one of the top neighborhoods in the Orlando area.

This neighborhood has a lot of charm. Here are a few other reasons why it's the perfect place to buy a home in Osceola County.

1. Proximity to major roads. Stevens Plantation is a less than five minute drive to the Canoe Creek Road exit of the Florida Turnpike. This means, when you live in Stevens Plantation, you are just minutes from access to anywhere you'd want or need to go in Central Florida. From the Turnpike, you can access Osceola Parkway, the 417, and I-4, all of which are major roads in the Central Florida area. With access to these roads, you're able to hit all of the major draws that Central Florida has to offer, such as the Mall at Millenia, any (and all) of the local theme parks, bustling Downtown Orlando and more!

5. A growing business center like no other. The Corporate Campus at Stevens Plantation has a lot to offer when it comes to bringing business to the area. It is an ideal spot for offices, research and development, and high-tech facilities.

3. Oversized lots to spread out in. In Stevens Plantation, there are a number of smaller neighborhoods that make up the community. As an example, if you buy a home in The Grove, Verandah Lakes, or Magnolia Green, you’ll enjoy unique and quaint neighborhoods with standard lot sizes. If you’re looking for a little more space, The Estates may be the right place for you to call home. The Estates at Stevens Plantation is comprised of 89 larger lots with custom homes constructed by some of Central Florida’s most popular builders.

4. Great schools within walking distance. There are two elementary schools within walking or biking distance of Stevens Plantation, and the middle school and high school aren't far, either. When it comes to choosing a neighborhood, many times finding one that features good schools is a plus (well, that is if you have school-aged children or grandchildren that would benefit from them). The two closest schools in this community are the A-rated St. Cloud Elementary School and the new, A-rated St. Cloud Preparatory Academy.

5. A community market for shopping. Coming soon to the Stevens Plantation area is a neighborhood market. What's better than having a convenient grocery store nearby, and one that you could even walk or bike to if you chose to do so? No need to scramble when it comes to forgetting an ingredient the next time you go to bake your neighbors a fresh batch of cookies! The market, opening sometime in the first quarter of 2016, is sure to have what you need at a moment's notice.

Now, if you've decided that Stevens Plantation is the neighborhood you want to buy your next home in, we've got something you'll want to see. This modern home was featured earlier this month on our blog and has all the conveniences mentioned above along with being charming and move-in-ready!
