Another summer month is upon us and we’ve got three events in Central Florida worth adding to your calendar. From checking out the local firework celebrations to hitting up the various Farmer’s Markets for fresh food, this month is going to be one for the books when it comes to having fun in the Florida sunshine. These are just three more reasons why we love living in Central Florida!

Celebrate 4th of July in Osceola County.

Kissimmee, St. Cloud and Celebration all have big events planned. In St. Cloud you can get in on the action the day before, with the return of their Margaritaville Party. It is a Key West/Jimmy Buffet inspired event featuring live music from the group Volcano Joe and the Hot Lava Band. Beach Volleyball games will kick off at 6:45 pm on the 3rd. The event will continue on July 4th starting at 3pm with more live music, fun games and good food at this family friendly celebration. The firework show will take place over the lake at 9:15 pm.

In Kissimmee, the fun begins on July 4th at 5pm. They too will have live music, food from TheDailyCity.com Food Truck Bazaar and the KUA Kids’ Power Zone offering fun for all ages. The fireworks will start at 9:10 pm after a “Dance through the Decades” dance party.

This year, Celebration Town Center’s World Famous 4th of July event joins forces with MegaCon to bring the first ever “A Sci-Fi 4th of July” to Central Florida. They are hosting a movie themed costume contest starting at 7:30 pm and will synchronize their fireworks spectacular set to a Sci-Fi themed soundtrack. With that line up there is sure to be a 4th of July Celebration in Osceola County that is right up your alley, so be sure to enjoy the day with family and friends at one of these great events!

Get in on the action when the PBR visits Amway Center

We mentioned last month that the Silver Spurs Rodeo was taking place and if you missed out then this might be something to put on your calendar. The Professional Bull Riders Blue DEF Velocity Tour will be at Amway Center for a one-day event as the best up and coming bull riders in the world face off with rival bulls nearly 10 times their weight during the most thrilling 8 seconds in sports. At the end of the competition, the rider with the highest combined score will be crowned the champion. The PBR is celebrating their 21st anniversary this year and and will surely to put on a good show in honor of it, so don’t miss out!

Buy local at the local Farmers Markets.

When you think of summer, fresh food is surely to come to mind and Central Florida has some great Farmers Markets that take place every weekend. The Winter Park Farmers Market is located at the old train depot on West New England Avenue. The market takes place every Saturday morning from 7 am to 1 pm and is a popular community gathering place that provides fine produce, plants, baked goods and much more.

The Osceola County Grown Farm Market is located off Irlo Bronson Hwy in St. Cloud and is open on Saturdays from 10 am to noon. During the summer months they will be offering goat cheese, goat milk, fetas, raw dairy milk, cream, butter, kefir, grass fed beef, free range chicken eggs and a variety of produce making it a fresh product only market. In the fall they will offer other products such as jams, jellies, pickles, relishes and more.

The Orlando Farmers Market hits the sidewalks of Lake Eola every Sunday from 10 am to 4pm and offers a wine and beer garden, live entertainment, an outdoor restaurant, and themed Sundays to promote pet-friendly, family-friendly park programs on top of the vendors offering up their great products. Eating right has never been so easy with the fresh foods these Farmers Markets around Central Florida have to offer!
