Lake Nona is one of the fastest-growing communities in the Central Florida area. While it’s well-known for being home to “Medical City”, there are a number of other things that make it the perfect place to call home. So, just what are the added benefits of buying a home in Lake Nona?

Centrality

Lake Nona is located in a prime area of Central Florida. It has great access to airports and major roadways and is located in a major employment center (one with a huge medical emphasis). Not to mention, it’s not far from coast, which is a major draw for those looking for the true Florida lifestyle.

Value

Property values continue to improve in this area. As of October 2018, the median home price was $414,100, and is predicted to rise 3.7% within the next year. The number of closed sales and listings have both increased drastically during this short window of time, too.

Growth

Development continues to take place in Lake Nona on a daily basis. One of the biggest areas of development right now is the new Lake Nona Town Center. It will serve as a defining hub and amenity for the community. The first phases will include a collection of more than 1 million square feet of retail, restaurant, entertainment, office and hospitality uses. The 100-acre regional destination will feature more than 3.5 million square feet at completion.

Desirability

It’s no secret to Central Florida residents that the community of Lake Nona is full of charm and allure. It’s really because of everything we list in this blog that makes this area “the place to call home” in the region right now.

Amenities

On top of the shopping center we previously mentioned, there are many other amenities that make Lake Nona great. There are plans for a state-of-the-art tennis facility by the United States Tennis Association, and over 44 linear miles of paved and unpaved trails for residents to get out and enjoy nature.

Education

The learning in Lake Nona doesn’t just start with elementary school and end with high school. There are a number of preschools for the earliest of learners, and Lake Nona is lucky to have many options for post-secondary educational opportunities. It’s home to a Valencia College campus, UCF College of Medicine, UF Research & Academic Center and the Florida Institute of Technology.
