Spring is officially here, the flowers are blooming and the weather has warmed up to pretty perfect temperatures as far as us Floridians are concerned. Wouldn't you agree? These three things make it a great month for getting outdoors and enjoying the local events around Central Florida in April. (Pro Tip: The Epcot® International Flower and Garden Festival that we shared last month is still in full swing, too!)
The City of Orlando hosts its 28th annual Spring Fiesta in the Park at Lake Eola in Downtown Orlando during the first weekend of April. This family- and pet-friendly event takes place each spring and fall season and features art and entertainment perfect for everyone. While at this event, you can visit hundreds of original artists and craft vendors, food booths, and food trucks, making it something you won't want to miss. We also happen to think this is something everyone living in Florida should experience at least once. Have you been yet?
Returning for its third year in Osceola County, you can cowboy up this month during the RAM National Circuit Finals Rodeo at the Silver Spurs Arena. The Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) rodeo will feature five performances over four days, during which the contestants will compete for more than $1 million in cash and prizes. This rodeo fun takes place April 6th - 9th, but will kick off with a Cattle Drive through Downtown Kissimmee on Monday, April 3rd.
This outdoor festival takes place along the historic streets of downtown Kissimmee, among the shopping and dining district, on Saturday, April 8th and Sunday, April 9th from 10am to 5pm. The streets become an outdoor gallery featuring fine arts and crafts for sale from more than 100 local and national artists. While here, you can also enjoy live music, great food, and family-friendly activities throughout the weekend. Click here for more information.
